squidoo.com
off-site: short, see-worthy and shareable "lenses"

Your newest lens:  Squidoo.com/unsafeabortion

Take a quick moment to take a squid's-eye view of Squidoo.com a simple site that features short and sweet, highly focused "lenses." This format is ideal for helping busy people to get up to speed on an issue. We have created a few Squidoo pages that include a short snapshot from various angles of this issue, links to key resources and links back to The UnChoice.com site to learn more.

Check it out. You can forward a link to whichever Squidoo page is best targeted to the people you want to reach. For example, forward:

http://www.squidoo.com/unsafeabortion to someone considering or promoting abortion ... or to warn parents, leaders friends and family about post-abortion harm and heartbreak

www.squidoo.com/unwantedabortion to inform a leader about widespread coercion, or  www.squidoo.com/theunchoice to help change misleading and often hurtful conventional wisdom and rhetoric about "choice.

  Why It Matters

Each Lens Offers a Squid's-Eye View
of an Important Aspect of this Issue

Unwanted or coerced abortion is common.

There are many arms, angles and attributes of this long legacy of pregnancy- and abortion-related abuse, discrimination, heartbreak, trauma and death ... and its aftermath, which is, too ... more of the same.

Women, men and families who've been there or those close to someone who was harmed ... can get lost in the noise.

Many feel the topic is taboo, while others are dismissed or told to "get over it."

As a society, a community and a culture, better understanding and acknowledging these injustices ... and presenting abortion as an injustice to both and only the illusion of "choice" in the common sense of the word ... can do a great deal to help those who feel misjudged, marginalized or even condemned .... toward fostering an environment of more authentic support for women and families, ... and to start the long journey toward healing.

For most, there is no program, policy or platitude that can fill the void in their heart or repair some of the all-too-common pregnancy-related abuses or injustices experienced by women, men or families who were seeking honest answers, accurate information or a helping hand.

An Eight-Armed Message

Squidoo is a great place to share this message with your friends and family ... for students, youth leaders, counselors or educators ... for a favorite leader who is new to this issue ... it's a quick way to refer someone new ... read up or catch up ... watch for new bits, bites and "lenses" that zoom in on the highlights, a chat, a book, a news brief, a poll ... or even a modern, more civilized (and less dangerous) version of a "duel."

Who to Squidoo ...

Send our new and upcoming Squidoo links to ...

ü Your friend who thinks abortion is about "choice" or that it is the only or best way to "help" women facing challenging or even crisis pregnancies,

ü Your pastor who might be less hesitant to speak out on this issue if he knew about the injustice of unwanted or coerced, deceptively sold or even forced abortion and post-abortion heartbreak

ü The politician who can now replace "pro-choice" with "The UnChoice" and speak of the injustice and risk of pregnancy abuses and unwanted, deceptively informed, coerced or forced abortions ... a human rights abuse to both the unborn and women

ü The educator who can use the free downloadable resources and share this new information with students, youth leaders and others,

ü The teen, college student or youth leader whose friends are at risk of coercion, deceptive counseling or post-abortion grief.

ü The parents who don't know their teen or her friends are at risk of coercion in schools, shopping-mall clinics ... or at risk of serious post-abortion health issues.

ü The voter who supports candidates who are - ironically - putting both the unborn and women at risk.

ü The compassionate, open-minded friend who may help in some small or big way.

ü The counselors who can use new tools to inform others, deter abortions and help those already hurt.

Pass it on! Squidoo makes it easy.

What Squidoo Can Do ...

Information is power. Refer a friend!

If you do, here are just a few of the things Squidoo can do ...

(but only if you tell someone about it!)

Offer a close-up, well-documented “zoom lens” view that challenges conventional wisdom about why women undergo abortions and the heartbreak, horror and harm to everyone involved.

Stop the loss of lives and related destruction.

Tell a new truth that will open hearts and challenge Americans to warn others at risk, stop the injustice, and reach out to those already hurt.

Turn the abortion debate on its head.

Challenge Americans to reject abortion in favor of authentic choice and a genuinely pro-woman, pro-life, pro-family culture.

Reach out to teens, women and families already hurt, many of whom were dismissed or derided by friends and family, or experts in the helping professions.

Save the lives of those who may grieve quietly or even despair.

Squidoo's and Squidon'ts

What to Squidoo? What about Squidont's? Read on!

1) Don't let rhetorical leaders imply that an abusive legacy of widespread unwanted abortions, coercion, expert, often systemic negligence or disinformation, ultimatums and threats that can escalate to violence is a) just, b) compassionate, c) "safe," or d) the same as "choice" in the true, free, fair and widely understood sense of the word.

Do make it a habit to call it "The UnChoice," encourage others to call it The UnChoice, and tell people why.  (See Top 10 Reasons it's The UnChoice or The UnChoice Definition. Share it in postcard, ad or flyer format.)

2) Don’t use terms like “choice” or "pro-choice,” since they presume a lot and cover up a legacy of widespread unwanted, coerced or forced abortion in America.

3) Don't delay! See ways you can help below or learn more at www.TheUnChoice.com. Your part in this mustard-seed movement will change lives forever.

4) Do support this urgent outreach in whatever way you can. It helps more than you know! Link to this site, tell a friend and donate if you can. In these challenging economic times, we are especially in need of prayers and Sustaining Partners, who commit to donating a specified amount on a regular basis.
