I. about this issue
A closer look at important new information, including:
Unwanted. Information and resources about widespread coercion, unwanted, deceptively presented or even forced abortion in America and elsewhere, plus post abortion grief, trauma, injury and death. These injustices are common, yet often dismissed or marginalized by experts.
Unsafe. In addition to pregnancy-related discrimination, abuse, ultimatums, deceptive counseling, non-support and malpractice, post-abortion "complications" are serious and well-established, yet largely unreported.
Unfair. Women have a right to freedom from coercion, non-disclosure, pregnancy-related discrimination, and personal or other pressure that can escalate to violence. (Homicide is the leading cause of death of pregnant women.) Women have a right to accurate, comprehensive information and authentic support plus freedom from professional negligence, deceptive counseling, malpractice and human rights abuses. Post-abortion harm, heartbreak and risk must also be respectfully and compassionately acknowledged, especially by those in the helping professions who often dismiss women seeking help and answers before or after abortion.
Teens. From school authorities and shopping mall clinics to agenda-driven adults and misguided counselors, teens and other youth facing an unexpected pregnancy are at risk of coercion, malpractice and serious yet often-hidden post-abortion heartbreak, physical injury and even suicide.
Suicide. Post-abortion suicide rates are 6 times higher. Learn more.
