The UnChoice campaign is a compassionate, user-friendly, public-oriented and
evidence-based education and outreach project
of the Elliot Institute.
Here are a few highlights of why this campaign is unique and what it can do.
For the complete overview, see Why
The UnChoice Campaign Is Different and Essential.
The UnChoice advertising, education and outreach campaign is pivotal
because:
-
It presents academic research
in various easy-to-share formats to help educate the general public and
leaders in all sectors of society.
-
It
introduces convention-defying new evidence that most abortions are unwanted
or coerced.
-
It raises awareness about forced abortions,
including escalating coercion, violence or homicide in America and
elsewhere.
-
It sheds light on serious,
even deadly post-abortion issues, from clinical depression and
heartbreak to significantly higher maternal death rates
-
It opens the door to compassion, restoration and healing among
individuals, families and communities directly or indirectly affected.
The UnChoice campaign includes full-scale, multi-media campaigns plus
small ads, flyers and other freestanding educational materials to support the campaign or to use alone.

-
Use the materials at TheUnChoice.com to inform
people on all sides of this issue that ...
a) Most abortions are unwanted or coerced
–
a "prelude" to abortion that is an assault on women's fundamental
human rights, endangering both the unborn and women. b) Forced
abortion is happening in America and elsewhere putting women and
families from all walks of life at risk of coercion or even homicide, the
leading killer of pregnant women. (See Forced
Abortion in America page) c) Before, during or after abortion, mothers are dying, too, whether
from pregnancy-related violence and exploitation or in abortion's
heartbreaking aftermath. (See coerced,
and maternal
deaths pages.)
-
Count the uncounted. Many mothers are abused or dying, before, during or after abortion. Their lives matter, too. Inform
people that, in addition to mothers being coerced, abused or even killed before abortion, abortion's assembly-line medicine plus serious
aftereffects are inflicting untold harm, heartbreak and risk to both mothers
and babies.
-
Warn parents that their
teens, family and friends are at risk of coercion in schools, among groups, and even at shopping mall storefronts that
may offer deceptive or incomplete counseling, coercion or referral to
abortion clinics. These youth or adult women are then also at risk of post-abortion issues, including clinical depression,
trauma, physical injuries and higher rates of death from all causes.
-
Warn parents that their teens may have already been coerced
and may be suffering serious, even life-threatening post-abortion
issues.
-
Save lives two at a time by preventing coercion
happening today, by educating those who coerce or consider abortion that
it's a human rights abuse at best and - even under current lax abortion laws
- is illegal.
-
Deter those who might coerce abortion, which
is illegal and educate them about its trauma and potentially deadly risk to those they may mistakenly think they’re helping.
-
Save youth and women at risk from abusers, molesters and assaulters who use abortion to cover up and repeat their crimes against women.
-
Document and expose abortion as a dangerous human rights
abuse that denies the rights and endangers the lives of both the unborn and women.
-
End the injustice and protect the authentic rights of both women and the unborn.
-
Foster unity by presenting a clear, evidence-based message that is
respectfully and compassionately presented.
-
Open the door to healing for individuals and families already hurt or whose loved ones have been hurt
or killed by pregnancy-related violence or abortion-related issues.
-
Open the door to authentic rights, compassion and unity for divided families, churches and society.
